What software students use, and how we protect them

During the course, students use a small set of AI-assisted creative tools — guided by an instructor — to design characters, generate art, and build a playable game prototype inside our shared studio app.

Tools we use
  • Vibe Code Game Studio app — our private classroom environment where students log in, create their studio, and save their work.
  • Lovable, accessed through Imagi Edu — students build real apps and games in Lovable, but they reach it through the Imagi Edu education gateway. Imagi issues each student an anonymous username and password (no real names, emails, or PII collected) and routes their usage so that student input is not used to train AI models.
  • AI Mentor chat — a moderated, game-design-only assistant inside our app. Conversations are logged and reviewable by parents and instructors.
  • Instructor-built example apps on Lovable — this class is about building software with Lovable, so students will play, test, and remix apps the instructor and classmates have built. One example is the Vibe Code Matrix. This is the first cohort and it's inherently creative and collaborative — expect to see new example projects added as we go.
How we protect students
  • Students log in to every tool with an anonymous username — no real names, emails, photos, or contact info required.
  • The Imagi Edu gateway ensures student work is not used to train AI models, and there is no ChatGPT account in the loop.
  • Our in-app AI Mentor is scoped to game design and runs through automatic safety filters — it is not an open chatbot.
  • On Day 1 every student gets an explicit briefing: no real names, addresses, phone numbers, or emails inside any project.
  • All in-app chats and submissions are visible to the instructor and the linked parent account.
  • No advertising, no third-party ad tracking, and student work is never sold.
Your role as a parent
  1. You receive a unique parent code and create your own account.
  2. You review and sign the consent forms (Terms, Privacy, AI Mentor, Tool Use) — your child's login activates only after this step.
  3. You can view your child's anonymous login info, monitor their AI chat transcripts, export a copy of their work, or request deletion of all their data at any time.

Full details are available in our Privacy Policy, Terms, and Safety pages.
