For Families

Safety, told honestly.

Most "kid-safe" pages oversell. Here's what we actually do — and don't do — to keep your student safe while they build real software on Lovable.

🎭

1. Anonymous student accounts

Lovable accounts are provisioned by Imagi Edu with random usernames ("FirstReachCupcake") and random passwords. No real names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers are used to create or sign in to the account.

👥

2. In-person classroom, not the open internet

Class is two hours a day, in person, in a supervised lab. A teacher is in the room while students build. We don't pretend to lock down the internet for them — Lovable can search the web and return information — but they're never building unsupervised.

📋

3. Day 1 PII briefing

Before students touch their projects, we walk through what NEVER goes into a game or website: real names, addresses, phone numbers, school name, photos of themselves. We give them the language and the reasoning, and we reinforce it whenever it comes up.

👨‍👩‍👧

4. Parent access to the real Lovable account

Your family portal stores your student's Lovable and Imagi logins. You can log in to their Lovable account directly, see every project they're building, and add yourself as an admin so you can build alongside them. There's no "black box" — what they see, you can see.

🛡️

5. Mandatory reporter policy

All instructors are trained as mandatory reporters under Illinois law. Any disclosure suggesting a student is at risk of harm is escalated immediately to the appropriate authorities and to parents/guardians.

✂️

6. Takedown on request

Want a published game unpublished, a character renamed, a screenshot removed, or your student's account information removed from our portal? Email us and we do it — no questions asked.

Common questions
Can my child browse the open internet while building?+

Lovable has built-in tools that can search the web and return information to the project. That's part of how AI app-builders work in 2026 — and it's part of why the class is in-person and supervised. We can't and don't claim to have walled off the internet. What we can do is teach them the judgment to use it well, and give you full access to review what they make.

Does my child have to give a real name or email to Lovable?+

No. The account Imagi provisioned for them is anonymous — random username and password. They never enter their real name, email, or any contact info. The login info lives in your family portal.

Can my child message other students through these platforms?+

There's no peer-to-peer chat inside Lovable or Imagi. Collaboration happens in-person during studio time. If a student adds a chat feature to their own game, that's a teaching moment — see the PII briefing in the privacy worksheet.

Can I delete my child's data?+

Yes. Email us and we'll remove their account from our portal and walk you through unpublishing/deleting their Lovable projects. We process requests within 5 business days.

What if my child publishes something I'd rather not be public?+

Anything published to Lovable lives on a public *.lovable.app URL. Your student (and you, once you're added as admin) can unpublish at any time. Tell us and we'll help.
