What we collect
Student first name and chosen studio username — used for login and in-studio identity only.
Parent/guardian email and phone — used for enrollment confirmations, mid-course updates, and showcase invitations.
Chat messages with the AI mentor — stored for safety review, learning support, and transcript access by the enrolled parent/guardian.
Game files, character art, and pitch decks created during the sprint — stored so students can download their portfolio after the program.
How we use it
To run the program: seat assignments, daily studio access, and mentor chat routing.
To keep students safe: automated and instructor moderation of mentor chats.
To communicate with families: welcome emails, progress updates, and showcase day logistics.
To improve the curriculum: anonymized aggregate patterns (e.g., which prompt patterns lead to the best prototypes).
Who can see it
The enrolled student and their parent/guardian can view the student's own chat transcripts and game files.
Instructors and program staff can view all student data for teaching, safety, and operational purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade student data to third parties. Ever.
AI model providers receive prompt text only; they do not receive student names, emails, or personal identifiers.
How long we keep it
Chat messages and game files: retained for the duration of the program plus 90 days, then permanently deleted unless a parent/guardian requests earlier deletion.
Enrollment and consent records: retained for 3 years for legal and compliance purposes.
Anonymized aggregate analytics: retained indefinitely for curriculum improvement.
