Program terms
Vibe Coding Game Studio is a two-week summer program operated by Exponential Education Systems in partnership with Harper College InZone.
Enrollment is through Harper College Continuing Education. Tuition, refund, and cancellation policies follow Harper College's standard terms.
The program is designed for students ages 11–14. Students outside this range may be admitted at the instructor's discretion.
All seat assignments, studio access, and AI mentor chats are provisioned only after a parent/guardian completes the digital consent form.
Code of conduct
Treat every studio member with respect — no harassment, bullying, or exclusion based on identity, skill level, or game preferences.
AI mentor chats are monitored for safety. Do not share personal information (phone numbers, addresses, social media handles) in chat.
All game content must be appropriate for ages 11–14: no graphic violence, hate speech, sexual content, or real-world gambling mechanics.
Respect intellectual property — use AI-generated assets within the program scope, and credit tools appropriately in your pitch deck.
AI tool usage
Students use kid-safe, instructor-supervised AI tools. There is no open or unrestricted access to the public internet.
AI-generated art, characters, and game logic belong to the student for the purpose of the program and personal portfolio use.
Commercial use of AI-generated assets outside the program requires verifying the specific tool's commercial license terms.
Instructors may pause a student's studio access if AI tools are being used to generate harmful, inappropriate, or off-topic content.
Data and content
Students retain ownership of their original creative work (studio name, characters, game design, pitch deck).
By participating, parents/guardians grant Exponential Education Systems a non-exclusive license to showcase anonymized student work for program marketing and curriculum examples.
No identifying student information (names, photos, voice) will be used in public marketing without separate written consent.
Safety and supervision
All AI mentor chats are logged and subject to automated and human moderation.
Parents/guardians may request transcript access for their enrolled student at any time through the Family Portal.
Instructors are trained in youth safety protocols and are mandatory reporters under Illinois law.
Any concern about student welfare should be raised immediately with the lead instructor or Harper College InZone staff.
Limitation of liability
Exponential Education Systems and Harper College provide the program and tools on an as-is basis.
We are not liable for lost game files if a student fails to download their portfolio before the 90-day retention period ends.
We reserve the right to remove a student from the program for repeated violations of the code of conduct, with a pro-rata tuition refund determined by Harper College policy.
